Fire, Tires, and Poverty by vinnymack Fire, Tires, and Poverty by vinnymack
By Vincent T Joachim

In March 1999, gas prices doubled in Ecuador and mass protest erupted throughout the country as a result. The citizens employed a successful protest technique by digging trenches in the road and lighting tires on fire. It brought the countries economy to a standstill and the govenment was forced to compromise.

This scene shows street kids in the middle of the chaos.

Suggester says,"I'm really touched when the artist said, 'This scene shows street kids in the middle of the chaos.' It's really a shame that some kids are seeing this kind of situations right before their eyes and innocence. Children play a very important role in building our future so we need to take good care of them too."

I am doing a school project on the topic of "lost voices" for my university class and am required to make a digital story using photos as long as I am able to gain permission. Would you allow me to use this photo?

hi
I represent a CSR-related non profit organization. We would love to use this photograph on our website, and would like to have your permission.
The photograph would not be used for any commercial purposes, as our organization only connects community workers and is run by voluntary workers as well.
